These forms become shells, that we know and can recognize, but which take on a completely different function as their original content is lost for the contemporary viewer." Lapin lives and works in Los Angeles, received her BA from Yale University (2001) and her MFA from UCLA (2007). Lapin has had solo-exhibitions at Honor Fraser Gallery, Los Angeles; Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum, Santa Barbara; The Pasadena Museum of California Art, Pasadena; and Grand Arts, Kansas City. Upcoming solo exhibitions include Josh Lilley Gallery in London and the Weatherspoon Art Museum in Greensboro, North Carolina which has just named her the 2013 Falk Visiting Artist.
